Helping Mattawan students' since 2011
- ABOUT THE PROGRAM -
OVER
5,500 BAGS DISTRIBUTED IN 2023-24
Wildpaks is a 501c(3) nonprofit organization which supports students who are at risk of going hungry over the weekends throughout the school year in the Mattawan Consolidated School District.
Our Mission
-
Fight hunger when resources are lacking.
-
Sustain overall nutrition, emotional, and physical well-being.
-
Provide food for students each weekend during the school year.
Throughout the 2023-2024 school year, we served over 250 students (and counting) among the ECEC, Early El, Later El, Middle School and High School. The need is growing. Within the last school year alone, we experienced a nearly 20% growth in families supported. We are expecting this number to increase to over 300 students in the 2024-2025 school year. Furthermore, the average food pack cost has increased 30% year over year.
Every Friday each participating student receives a food pack filled with healthy, kid-friendly meal and snack items that provide nutritional support on the weekends. If there is a student that needs to be added to our delivery list, please direct his/her direct care giver to:
