Did you know?

In 2017 Mattawan Food Packs became it's own separate entity and non-profit (501c3) organization? For the first six years Mattawan Food Packs operated under the Mattawan Area Pantry umbrella. The goal was to become independent before the beginning of the 2017 school year and we accomplished that goal.

We now hope to meet our fundraising goal of raising $10,000 by April 1, 2018.

In the recent Mattawan Wildcat Connection there is an article stating that the Mattawan Middle School held a change war collection and donated it to Mattawan Area Pantry and Mattawan Food Packs. However, the money was earmarked to be used to purchase gifts for teens which Mattawan Area Pantry offered during their Christmas distribution day. Because Mattawan Food Packs is no longer affiliated with Mattawan Area Pantry, that money did not benefit the Food Pack program.

We would like to thank the Mattawan community for your support over the past seven years. Without you this program of feeding hungry children each weekend would not be successful.
